A few weeks back I started to notice white smoke in my Ford Everest, its a diesel train SUV. At first it was just a little & soon started to cough huge white smoke ... feel so sorry for the motorcyclists behind me waiting in a jam. The problem could arise from the timing, injectors & fuel quality. In the end the problem lies in the timing of the engine with the emission control ( Initially, I thought it was the turbo charger thats leaking oil). Cleaned out the air intake system, removed the gum & cleaned out the carbon in the EGR system. All these problems are accumulated from short distance drives & traffic jam road conditions, which is very common in Jakarta. And if the air intake system is not too choked up you could clean it without removing the intake manifold. Could not have got rid of the problem if not for Lambda Tank Diesel. Beware, diesel common rail engines' high pressure pump, injectors etc are very expensive to replace. The fuel pump can cost up to Rp30jt, so its definitely sound advice to consistently maintain your diesel car.
